lyrics

For the one whom in my dreams shall always be Beren. I love you.

When day breaks o'er the tops of the mountains and limns the land in sanguine light
And turns the dew to rubies and garnets, on heaths ablaze I will chant thee a rite

Of dawn's golden strains I will make thee an altar
Of the halcyon hues of a midsummer's day
Of birdsong and reverie and wildflowers all
Where by clarion springs in thine arms I shall lay

And there be a vessel for thy will, and unto thee avowed until the wolves devour the moon and sun, the end of all things begun, then 'neath the boughs of Yggdrasil, with thee I'll shelter still... til nine worlds return to one.

When the sky takes up a silvery mantle and upon its brow rests a sliver of moon
Upon the glade where I will be waiting a star will shine and I'll sing thee a tune

In eventide's shades I will raise up an aria
In the brumal moods of a midwinter's night
Of shadow and snowfall and twilit rime all
Where in boreal groves thine embrace I'll delight

And there to a whispered serenade, the world around will bend and sway, and in harmony resound, for to thy spell be bound... on wonderland paths I'll bid thee go, and there no woe will follow, hence they return unto the ground...

This wood shall be a temple, and upon a bed of green, joineth unto thee
A priestess of thine entity, bestow thine offerings unto me, for I am fey with visions of thine artistry!
Earthly wonders I have known, dreams of grandeur called my own, but I can will none fair, for to thee none compare...

(I took my wanderlust out to sea
Prayed a fair wind to carry me
Into the headlands and over the sound
Even the gods know not where I'm bound...

Into the wide beyond to stray
Until the morrow lights my way!)

Oh, if this is but a dream, please don't wake me, for I'd seek no release
Oh, but to lie eternally, lulled by slumber's sweet elegy...

I took my wanderlust out to sea
Prayed a fair wind for to carry me
Into the headlands and over sound
Even the gods know not where I'm bound

Into the wide blue beyond for to stray
Until the morrow lightens my way...

Came to a waste at the whips of a storm
Caught in a maelstrom and cast ashore
The daughters of Aegir dragged my ship down
Brine filled my lungs and alas I drowned

Oh, but a smile like the sun stole my pallor as I lay upon the sand
Oh, and how my grave-cold skin flushed with life at the touch of a hand!
